Subh e Pakistan With Amir Liaquat returns on Geo with a bang. The show is famous for being trendsetter and providing viewers combination of information and entertainment. It again on its first gains popularity and declared No 1 show and becomes most viewed show.

Schedule

The show is divided among various very interesting and informative segments. Show is aired live from Monday To Friday. The show continues for two hours from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The new set is also getting appreciation.

5 Thing I Hate Seeing On Pakistani Electronic Media

In Musharraf rein Electronic Media in Pakistan flourished and many new Media houses were born and started their operation. Electronic Media gained popularity and freedom of speech in last few years. Now Electronic Media and TV is most effective mean of conveying your message. TV now enjoys millions of viewership daily. But what Am I going to discuss. Yes You might be thinking this question. Electronic Media in Pakistan has no check and balance. What ever Media Owner want to go air, it is aired without any study of its consequences,effect on children, damage of moral values many more factors which should be considered first. ere I will try to make a list of those things I do not want to on air and many Pakistani to my point of view think so.

1. Morning Shows

The most exercised strategy of TV Channels to attract audience especially female are morning Shows. Every Channel is in struggle of getting the most beautiful host for their morning show. Now comes the content, what are they showing in morning shows. Is this our culture, our traditions, Does Islam encourages this practice? They show all this stuff pretending this is our culture. I say a big No to this. This is not for what we struggled in previous century. These morning shows have no positive effect in audience. There are some positive morning shows too "Payam Subh" on Dunya News is one of them. So Morning Shows be so organized as to teach audience some positive thing that are helpful for them nor merly having models roaming around and those food recipes that a common Pakistani can imagine of.

2. Breaking News

Electronic Media in Pakistan has adopted a new culture of Breaking News. "Imran Khan has divorced Reham Through SMS Thrice", "Veena Malik has given birth to baby girl".Are these Real issues of Pakistan."Bomb Blast in Karachi 5 dead 6 injured","Bomb Blast in Karachi 5 dead 6 injured","Bomb Blast in Karachi 5 dead 6 injured". Repetition of breaking is also an annoying experience.

3. Useless Dramas

Today entertainment channels are polarized with dramas having useless drama stories. They revolve around saas(mother in law) bahoo(daughter in law) quarrels. Some of them have stories like having dispute in beginning and a happy ending. All these do not help society and people in learning any good thing. Moral standard is also poor. The Indian dramas are also showing their consequences. Now children have more affinity with Indian culture than Pakistan. The new addition in our industry are Turkish Dramas. They are not as par our society moral standards. But people see for sake of enjoyment you know.

4. Inappropriate Advertisements

Pakistanis now somehow doing well in economic sector as is our advertisement industry. The brands like Q Mobile, Haier, Orient and many others have crowded our television advertisements. Instead of promoting their product they promote some thing else.Actor, Actress and all others except their product for which they are advertising.

5. Talk Shows

Whether you tune news channels in morning, afternoon or night. You always find a group of politician repeating their version again and again. Political talk shows on useless issues like "Is Army Chief Going to Take Over". To my point of view these talk shows should also be aired but there must be a limit. New talk shows should be organized that will bring youth and other people who have done something for Pakistan. Literary person should also be given representation. Programs like "Ba Zaban e Yousaafi" a literary program aired on Geo News.

These were some of the thing I hate on media. If you want to point something else you can comment below. Pakistan Electronic Media Media Regularity Authority (PEMRA) should devise some standard rules and strict checking so that people should enjoy media in some useful and meaningful way.
