Islam is one of the widely practiced religion of the World with total believers of about 1.6 billion which makes up 23 % of the World. Today Islam is fastest growing religion of the World. By 2050 Islam will become the largest religion of the World. But along with this some of elements are trying to demonstrate that Islam is religion of violence, hatred, and terrorism.

1. Islam Promotes Terrorism
Today in modern world this misconception still prevail when every thing is clear before us. People think that Islam is religion of violence and promotes terrorism. This is utter misconception.Islamic teaching promote love and peace. In Quran Says
“If anyone murders an innocent person, it will be as if he has murdered the whole of humanity”
2. Islam Oppresses Women
Every Non-Muslim thinks that Islam oppresses Women. Islam does not give rights to them. Islam allows husband to beat women. But this is not true. In Islam a women is equal to men. They have the right to choose their spouse, pursuit education, the right to divorce, inheritance and all other rights that a man enjoys.
"The best of you are they who behave best to their wives"
3. Muslims Hate Non-Muslims
Non-Muslims think that Muslims have strong hate sentiment against them. They thinks Muslims hate all other non-Muslims. They may be not right. Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) has always taught Muslims to behave well and live in harmony with Non-Muslims. I will here recall only one incident When Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) captured Mecca from where he was forcibly exiled. Not even single non-Muslim was killed in contest. Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) on that announced
Then Muhammad turning to the people said:
"O Quraish, what do you think of the treatment that I should accord you?"
And they said, "Mercy, O Prophet of Allah. We expect nothing but good from you."
Thereupon Muhammad declared:
"I speak to you in the same words as Yūsuf spoke to his brothers. This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free."
4. Islam Force Non- Muslims(Kafirs) To Become Muslims
This is misconceptions many Non-Muslims that Islam teaches Muslims to force Non-Muslims to become Muslims. Islam only teaches it believers to convince Non-Muslims and tell them about Islam and bring around them that this is a true religion of God and this is only pathway to successful and peaceful life on today and the life hereafter.
“And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the ‘Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)”

5. Concept of Jihad in Islam
Many people around the globe think Islam promotes and encourages war and they comment negatively about concept of Jihad in Islam. Jihad is a simple Arabic word meaning "to struggle". "jihad" has many meanings. It can refer to internal as well as external efforts to be a good Muslims or believer, as well as working to inform people about the faith of Islam.Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Said
"It is one’s inner struggle of good against evil; refraining oneself from the
whispers of Shaitan (Satan)."
Jihad is Holy War as many state and you may find out such description in dictionary. Jihad has been classified by Islam as:
1. Jihad of the Heart/Soul(Struggle to refrain yourself from Sin and Evil)
2. Jihad by the tongue(Do good and meaningful talk)
3. Jihad by the pen/knowledge(Tell other knowledge that is beneficial for them and mankind)
4. Jihad by the hand(Stop your influenced people from evil)
5. Jihad by the sword(For self-defense, Fighting against evil and unjust)
So at the end I just want to tell that it is not your fault to become suspicious about Islam. It is polarized and some of those 0.001% terrorists of Muslim Population that has forced you to think so. So I urge you to think positive read about Islam and God may Bless You!
