Rescue Operation has been initiated. Around 80 injured are rescued and being treated at DHQ hospital.Many other injured are moved to Peshawar hospitals.20 have been martyred including one policeman, 1 professor of chemistry department, 4 university guards and others. Rescue 1122 and other NGOs ambulances are aiding in rescue operation. Relatives of Students and professors in great numbers have rushed toward hospital to inquire about their relatives and others.
There were 3000 students inside university who were busy in their studies. Around 600 guests were there to attend university event when the terrorist attacked. 5 martyred including 4 university guards and 1 policeman. There are 2 boys and 1 girls hostel in university premises. Said university Vice Chancellor.
In recent reporting on media, it is being informed that the terrorist are moving towards the girls hostel. Causality rate is being feared to increase.
